Having a N router is a must these days. For the price you can't go wrong. I was concerned that it has been on the market for a few years now - but it meets all my expectations and more. I was very pleased with the router. I was up and running in about 15 minutes, taking my time to read instructions along the way.
Setup software was easy and tech support is available. Good product and good value.
The ad stated it was less than $10.00 for shipping and i had to pay over $22.00.I contacted seller but to no avail,not a customer oriented seller. The router did its job but it turned out too expensive with the excessive shipping charges I had to pay.
The Dlink was actually easier to setup. This was purchased to replace a Netgear WGT624 Super G router. Which is giving my stronger signal and 130 MBPS transfer rate. Later I purchased a Dlink DWA642 Rangebooster N Notebook adapter for my laptop. Which started acting up about a year after purchase. Randomly stop brodcasting and required frequent reboots.
I finally gave up on getting any assistance from them. And it wasn't just a fluke. I tried calling them several times (because the set up got really screwed up and I had to restore my laptop of 2 years to original factory condition) and I got the same treatment from every rep I talked to. I had a lot of trouble connecting this device and getting it working. Customer service may not be important to everyone but I consider it very important and dLink gets about 0 stars from me on that side. Once I got it connected, it has been working fairly well but during the set up process I contacted dLink for help and I got none. I was lucky enough to get a wonderful HP rep who was willing to help me out. They were rude and totally impatient.
